Michigan recap and Illinois preview
On this episode of Generation Red: A Husker Podcast, Scott and I are again joined by our buddy Jake (@TexasToasty54) to look back at the carnage the Wolverines left behind in Memorial Stadium, and how a demoralizing loss like that could affect the rest of the season. The good news? Newly-minted RB Joshua Fleeks' long TD run late in the 4th Quarter helped avoid the first home shut-out since 1968. Other than that, it was all bad...and I watched it all in Section 18 without emotion. I knew a slaughter was in the cards, and accepted it with resignation.
Then we turn the page to preview the road trip to Champagne, where the Huskers will take on the Illinois on Friday night at 7PM. It is also my birthday, so I am hoping for a nice present in the form of a W, and as bad as Illinois has looked so far this season, anything is possible.
