Living in Recovery & Realizing a Dream (Running to Freedom with Willie Miller - Ep78, Seg4)

On this episode of Generation Red: A Husker Podcast we have some must-listen information for you!. Scott and I sit down at the GenRed Table with none other than former Husker fullback and 1997 National Champion, Willie Miller.

In this segment, Willie talks specifically about making amends to the man that started the whole process of recovery. He also chronicles his journey to getting his Nursing Degree from Creighton University, and all the advocates he had along the way who vouched for him. Finally, he had realized his dream when he passed the state exam, and was given an unlimited license to practice nursing in Nebraska, and was hired at Methodist Hospital in Omaha.

The joy that this segment offered is palpable, but we also encourage you to listen to Segment 5, where the studio was full of raw emotion unlike this podcast has every experienced. We discuss the concept of emotional intelligence, and Scott & I get rather emotional as we discuss our own journeys to freedom from addiction and alcoholism, and especially how mine is directly inspired by Willie's.
